Installation

Flooring installation is a job for the pros

You'll find a large assortment of ceramic tile, carpet, laminate, luxury vinyl, and hardwood flooring at Carpet Source. We also offer flooring installation in Scottsdale, Arizona, and nearby communities. We may be able to install your new floor over existing hard surface flooring to simplify the upgrade. Tear up and removal of old carpet is free. You can count on our team to complete the job in the most efficient manner.

Carpet

While some carpeting is glued to the subfloor, most brands are stretched across the floor with a carpet stretcher. The installation team uses as few carpet pieces as possible and then hides the seams well. Carpeting can be installed over various types of subfloors, including cement. It is a homeowner's favorite for stairs, and it can also be laid outdoors.

Hardwood

Prefinished solid hardwood planks are nailed to a wood subfloor while engineered wood planks fit together to construct a floating floor. These planks, which tolerate moisture well, have a plywood base and a surface layer of hardwood. The on-site installation process for unfinished solid hardwood takes two weeks.

Luxury vinyl

Luxury vinyl is thicker than standard vinyl flooring, and it is available in planks and tiles rather than sheets. While some luxury vinyl brands are glued down like sheet vinyl, most of the flooring is designed to click and lock together to float above the subfloor. The flooring can be installed over cement slabs and some existing flooring.

Laminate

While laminate is a wood-based product, it is similar to luxury vinyl in form, looks, and installation. Underlayment must be placed beneath laminate and luxury vinyl as well as carpet and engineered wood. This underlayment smooths out minor subfloor imperfections, provides cushioning, and absorbs impact from footsteps.

Ceramic

Ceramic tile is attached to a cement board or a fiber cement underlayment with mortar. Individual tiles are cut, as needed, throughout the job. Grout is placed between the tiles and then sealed to make it more durable. It takes three to ten days for the mortar, grout, and sealer to dry.
